Delivery Information and Prices
|
Delivery charges are charged at cost and depend on weight, destination and service chosen
(priority or economy). Use the tables below to calculate the charges.
|
Delivery Charges:
All items are shipped directly out of Denmark using the Danish Postal Service.
They base their charges primarily on weight and always round up to the next full kilo when
calculating their charges.
We therefore use the gross weight for each item and add a further 10% to
estimate the full shipping weight, which includes the outside packaging.
This estimated "shipping weight" is then used to calculate the delivery charge
using the tables above.
It may be worth your while to try and match the weight as near as you possible to the next full kilo
by playing around with quantities. You can do this from the shopping basket page.
Parcels under 2kg can normally be sent as letters, and therefore enjoy slightly cheaper rates.
If the total weight exceeds the maximum weight allowed, the contents will have to be split into
two or more seperate parcels, and the basic charge per parcel applied accordingly (see table above).
Last correction of postal rates was made on 3 Jan 2006. Priority mail relates to the service called "CarryOn Cash" and Economy relates to
"CarryOn Budget". Please click
www.post.dk to check the rates on the
Danish Postal service's own site. (In danish)
Taxes/VAT:
For EU countries VAT is added at 17.5% and included in the quoted charges (Not in the DKK prices).
Exchange Rate:
All Prices are calculated from Danish prices to GBP using an
exchange rate of 9.439.
The exchange rates used are updated regularly.
Estimated Delivery Time:
Please be aware that the Estimated Delivery Times are for your guidance only. Once we have delivered the
parcel to the post office it is covered by their standard delivery charter and we have no influence
whatsoever over the actual delivery time.
We will notify you of the dispatch by email, which contains a tracking link that can
be used to track the progress of the order. Please note that parcels under 2kg cannot be tracked.
The tracking service is provided via the Danish Postal Service website and subject to its availability.
Most orders are processed within one or two working days, but if a product is out
of stock and due in within a few days we may defer dispatch a short while
without notice. Delays due to holidays etc. will be announced on the home page.
